The Pollack Group is proud to announce its partnership with VGrid, a California-based company creating clean energy, sequestering carbon, and reversing climate change.

VGrid’s biomass energy system produces biochar, a black substance that sequesters CO2, a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. Biochar is created through a process that heats up organic material, such as pistachio shells or corn stalks, while restricting oxygen levels so it doesn’t burn. The result is nothing short of miraculous. Though it has been used by farmers for thousands of years, our understanding of carbon credits and carbon removal remains woefully inadequate.

According to the Wall Street Journal, of the roughly 65,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide that have been removed from the atmosphere to date, nearly all of it has been sequestered using biochar.

For farmers, biochar is remarkably effective in helping soil retain water and nutrients. Farmers can reduce their dependency on potassium and synthetic fertilizers and increase crop yields. The benefits of biochar are not limited to commercial or large-scale agricultural use. Consumers can take advantage of VGrid’s line of products: Persist™Premium Biochar and PAF products support healthy soil and plants for homeowners and gardeners, and Scent Away™ pet deodorizers are ideal for dogs, cats, and even barnyard animals.

“VGrid’s technology and profitable business model have the potential to catalyze a global shift toward reversing the harmful effects of climate change by removing CO2 from the atmosphere. Simply put, we need as many people as possible to know that. We are excited to partner with The Pollack Group, whose expertise across a diverse range of B2B, direct-to-consumer, and specialty verticals aligns perfectly with our mission,” explained Jeff Norton, vice president of business development at VGrid.

The Pollack Group will support VGrid’s corporate communications and B2B marketing, as well as brand communications and digital marketing for the Persist and Scent Away lines.

“Climate change is not just a problem; it’s the defining issue of our time. The clock is ticking, and urgent action is needed. That’s why we are proud to stand behind VGrid’s critical mission to spread awareness about biochar and tackle the growing demand for carbon-negative solutions. By taking action today, we can pave the way for a more sustainable tomorrow,” said Stefan Pollack, president of The Pollack Group.
