Position Overview

The Digital Content Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping the online presence of our diverse clientele. The primary focus of this position is to coordinate and develop social media campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok, as well as the support activity related to them. Your creativity and strategic thinking can turn audiences into brand enthusiasts and loyal customers. The Digital Content Strategist reports to our agency’s account team leads.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute compelling social media campaigns that align with client objectives. Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
  • Using the latest software and technology, create visual and written content that resonates with our clients and their audiences.
  • Coordinate shoots with photographers and videographers, review and edit visual assets, edit audio, and execute campaigns coupled with compelling copywriting.
  • Actively manage communities, responding to comments and messages, and engaging with followers to build relationships and foster a positive brand image.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and incorporate innovative methods into campaigns to achieve the best results for clients. Experiment with new platforms and technologies to expand reach and engagement.
  • Work closely with our agency account teams and clients to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to all PR and marketing efforts.
  • Periodically research and update the team on search engine optimization, content trends, and consumer behavior.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate insights, progress, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation, with work samples that showcase the ability to tell compelling stories through various social media platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to craft messages that engage and persuade.
  • Solid content-creating visual storytelling skills, including proficiency in photography, videography, and graphic design.
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Competency with social media calendar and publishing tools, reporting tools, platform analytics and insights.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a knack for identifying opportunities for engagement and growth.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and clients.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented work style.
  • Ability to work against deadlines.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, communications, or a related field is preferred.

    A Little About The Internship…

    The Pollack Group’s internship program is centered around helping interns learn and develop skills that will carry over into their future careers. Former interns frequently tell us the skills and experience they gained at TPG are what set them apart at their first job.

    What You’ll Do…

    Support: Work with agency account teams to support various client accounts

    Learn: Firsthand agency experience, how to apply your hard and soft skills to real-world scenarios and businesses

    Create: Support the agency’s work, from digital content creation, media relations, and production

    Research: Competitive research, data analytics, and insights to support everything from business development to influencer outreach

    Contribute: Interns are encouraged and welcome to participate in agency brainstorms, strategy sessions, staff meetings, team-building events, and more

    TPG Interns Should Be…

    ·      Creative – Critical and creative thinkers who can add new perspectives and insights to any project

    ·      Detail-Oriented – Able to work independently and on a team as well as multi-task and manage time efficiently

    ·      Passionate about learning

    ·      Experienced – Skills that are preferred (but not required) include: Social media management, graphic design, web design and backend CMS, photo and video editing, copywriting, media relations writing and pitching. Agency experience is a plus, but not required

    Hours/Details:

    ·      15-25 hours/week

    ·      Hybrid schedule, with at least one in office day per week

    ·      Please note, prior and similar agency experience will be reviewed and considered and will inform if the position will be a paid internship. If there is no prior similar agency experience this will be an unpaid internship. We compensate for commuting expenses.
