The inaugural event, hosted by national Olympic governing body USA Triathlon, was held on the proposed site for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Building off momentum created from the event’s May 2018 announcement, the agency promoted and emphasized how USA Triathlon is building the necessary support for the sport of triathlon ten years ahead of the Games through a dozen broadcast news segments.

Live coverage was featured on CBS Los Angeles, FOX 11 Los Angeles, and KTLA as well as on KNX 1070 and in the Long Beach Press Telegram.
