Burger King goes green with eco-friendly packaging - Fast Company

Burger revealed plans to launch a green packaging pilot program for the eight items that customers use the most. The most used items include forks, spoons, knives, straws, drink lids, Frypods (fry containers), Whopper wrappers, and napkins. The initiative will test-run in 51 company-owned restaurants in Miami, where the fast-food chain is based. The eco-friendly alternatives are made with a plant-based plastic called cPLA for cutlery, napkins made with 100% recycled fiber, and Frypods made with renewable unbleached virgin paperboard.

Vanessa Bryant announces Mambacita clothing line for Gigi’s 15th birthday - Los Angeles Times

Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe Bryant, unveiled her own clothing line called Mambacita. The collection launch on what would have been Gianna's 15th birthday to pay homage to her late husband, nicknamed Mamba, and their daughter Gianna Bryant. The inventory sold out that same day, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Ahead of the country moving into a post-pandemic time, the ad is timed to warn consumers implications of drinking and texting while on the road.

Twitter Acquires Scroll, an Ad-Free News Reader - AdAge

Social media powerhouse Twitter has recently announced its latest acquisition -- ad-free news-reader called Scroll. Scroll works by offering stories from various publishers like BuzzFeed News, Atlantic, and USA Today without any ads to customers through a subscription fee. Through the acquisition, Scroll will temporarily halt its services while its 13-person team joins Twitter.
