Segway is launching a new product to take on urban mobility. The mode of transportation is called S-Pod, a self-balancing “first-class” chair that cruises on two wheels at speeds of up to 24mph. The design looks like it came straight out of the movie Wall-E, and in fact, Segway claims it was inspired by the hamster ball gyrospheres in the recent Jurassic Park reboot.
Toyota revealed plans to build the “city of the future” at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. This city, which Toyota is calling it ‘Woven Coty,” will have everything the motor corporation thinks the future will hold including smart homes, smart cars, and more. The city will have 2,000 residents including retired individuals, people who work in law enforcement, and the fire department to serve the city.
A new inflight entertainment experience is coming to a Delta Air Line flight near you. The major airline recently announced at CES 2020 that they are bringing a new set of features and technologies, including a “binge button” and the ability to watch Delta-sourced content from the moment you check into your flight. Delta also announced a partnership with the ReFrame project to supply the airline with gender-balanced TV shows and movies.
