For me, music has always been that one thing that can connect everyone. My favorite conversation starters usually sound something like “What are you listening to?” or “who is your favorite band?” and so on. I have been lucky to have fascinating conversations with my co-workers here at The Pollack Group about their favorite music, concerts they have been to or where they were the first time they heard a certain song – each conversation spanning all types of genres and generations.

Last summer we created a Spotify account for the agency and seasonally we rally the troops here at PPMG to contribute songs for themed playlists. Song choice criteria is simple but tricky: It must fit within the theme and the song must include the color red, the signature color of the agency:

  • Song Title
  • Album Title
  • Band Name
  • Album Cover
  • Song Lyrics

At first, I was worried the group would feel restricted by “the red rule” but I have been blown away by my colleague’s song contributions. Similar to the work we do here at PPMG, they didn’t view this requirement as an obstacle but as a way to get a little more creative. These playlists are truly representative of our agency’s DNA and the unique people that come together to create it.

I’m proud to present The Red Hot Summer Playlist: http://spoti.fi/2oFrHiX
