Senior Account Manager (with Enterprise B2B Technology PR experience) Los Angeles or New York

The Pollack Group, an integrated PR marketing agency that builds, refreshes and drives branded engagement and influence is seeking a Senior Account Manager with enterprise B2B technology hardware and software PR experience to work in our Los Angeles or New York Office.

The agency is searching for a professional that not only has the experience and expertise needed to be successful in this position, but also who has interest in growing technology practice. We are seeking a person who has keen judgment, "people" skills and the ability to "think on their feet." Qualification Requirements Include:

  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Must have PR technology and PR agency experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organization and presentation skills and detail oriented
  • Demonstrable experience in cybersecurity, storage, cloud, software client programs
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding, explaining and storytelling diverse technologies to audiences of differing levels of expertise
  • Demonstrable results with technology storage trade media in securing news, company features, Q&As and product coverage
  • Demonstrable results pitching and engaging with technology industry analysts in client relationship building, inclusion in industry reports, regular company briefings
  • Demonstrable experience in serving technology clients of different sizes – start-up, mid-size and large companies
  • Hands-on experience conducting media and analyst relations for B2B enterprise hardware and software technology public relations account(s) and strong client interactions
  • Experience in leveraging data to the media and through social media and digital channels
  • Knowledgeable in the traditional/digital/social media landscape
  • Keen understanding of integrated communications strategies
  • Capable of managing and juggling various accounts, handle client relations, manage staff and track budgets
  • Works effectively within a team, demonstrating coordination, communication and problem-solving contribution
  • Flexible approach; has the ability to change priorities against changing client and team needs

Tactical Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and manage timelines and weekly actions plans
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact during program execution
  • Develop written material to include releases, profiles, bylined articles, white papers, and other press materials
  • Develop media relations and analyst relations strategies, goals, targets and pitch angles
  • Serve as information leader on client team, demonstrating industry, cultural or media-driven knowledge that directly and indirectly affect the client
  • Assist in the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations and developing budgets
  • Participate with senior team leaders in client meetings
  • Aid in the research and development of creative client facing programs

Excellent opportunity for interns. Responsibilities include coordinating, supporting account managers with collateral production, conducting research, assisting on ongoing campaigns, drafting/editing press materials, client administration, managing databases, etc.

Qualifications desired:

We consider a variety of backgrounds, not just journalism or PR/marketing specific. Verbal and written communication skills are a plus, and applicants need to be detail oriented. We look for creative people who think “out of the box” and have the ability to juggle many activities.
