Domino's is going driverless. The pizza company will launch its first-ever driverless delivery vehicles in Houston, Texas. Domino's is working with Nuro, an American robotics company, which will use their R2 driverless vehicles to deliver pizza to Houston residents. The idea was first announced in 2019 and will deploy this year.
Burger King is teaming up with Nintendo for its food chains in Mexico. The fast-food giant will be offering one of six different toys in their Burger King Jr. meals featuring exclusive characters from games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Luigi's Mansion 3, to name a few. The toys will be available through the end of May.
Last week, Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream launched a new collaboration with legendary country singer Dolly Parton. The specialty ice cream flavor is a Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream that is described by Jeni as "sweet and salty, with timeless appeal, deep American roots, and makes you feel darn good." Only 10,000 pints of the ice cream are available for sale online and in-stores. The company plans more ice cream given the excitement.
Fashion brand H&M is planning to be sustainable by 2030. The initiative aims to switch all fabrics to be made from sustainably sourced or recycled textiles. H&M will partner with Nintendo's Animal Crossing and Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, who is passionate about the environment, to create a virtual Avatar of Williams within Animal Crossings as part of the collaboration.
