THE POLLACK TOTAL APPROACH: SEQUENCE OF EVENTS

  1. Once you become a Pollack client/partner, a Consultant will visit your premises. He/she obtains a clear understanding of the job, the duties, responsibilities, and the culture. We then establish with you, the qualifications required, those desired, experience, education, skills, aptitude, abilities, personal attributes necessary, etc.

  2. We then develop a strategy to identify and locate the best people.

  3. Our experts provide you with the latest information on market trends as it relates to skills, remuneration, supply and demand factors, and other market intelligence as required.

  4. We research files and retrieve resumes from previous "talent scouting" efforts on our extensive and exclusive database.

  5. Concurrently, we may confidentially advertise the position on the Internet, newspaper, use word of mouth, etc., in order to scan the market of people currently available.

  6. We "headhunt" - that is we identify, seek out and contact specific prospects you select or we believe you would be interested in. We get to know their "hot buttons" in order to effectively persuade them to consider your opportunity.

  7. If necessary, we also use our affiliates across Canada and around the world, to ensure we have indeed identified the top candidates. (We are members of the National Association of Personnel Services.)

  8. We then communicate with these prospects, satisfying ourselves that there is indeed mutual compatibility and interest.

  9. We evaluate their skills, abilities, attitudes and desires with your firm and position in mind.

  10. References are checked with previous employers, colleagues, customers, etc.

  11. We then provide you with a "SHORT LIST".

  12. We coordinate interview dates, times and locations between you and the candidates.

  13. If necessary we help prepare you to "sell" your opening to the candidate you select.

  14. We give you feedback about the individual's interest, concerns, etc.

  15. We ask you for feedback about your interests and concerns and if necessary, refocus the search.

  16. Active career-seekers of permanent or contract positions are given a choice of opportunities whenever possible, before accepting your offer. This ensures you, our client, a permanent long-term hire thus minimizing turnover.

  17. We set up second and subsequent interviews with other members of your staff if required, and provide you with feedback during each step in the hiring process.

  18. After all is said and done, all you have to do is make a decision. You have the final say.

  19. Once you have decided, we help you formulate an offer so it is acceptable to all parties.

  20. After commencement of employment, we follow through with both employer/client and your new hire, to ensure the transition is made smoothly.
