The Pollack Group is seeking a highly qualified manufacturing professional well versed in process control; as a member of the Maintenance Team this position requires a sound knowledge in programmable logic controls, servo drives, AC drives, operator interfaces, and plant management software and networks. Work priorities are based on incoming malfunction reports, capital plan and maintenance department improvement activities. This position works closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sanitation and Plant Management to ensure controls are effective and well maintained.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Electrical (or Automation) Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist diploma

- Five (5) years related experience in the Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation fields

- Experience with DCS (distributed control systems) based systems- Knowledge of all Electrical and Instrumentation standards and Electrical Safety code.

- Understand the Process Control in different areas of the Plant.

- Proficient in industrial communication network technologies such as Modus TCP/IP, Devicenet, Controlnet, Profibus, HART.

- Knowledge of Industrial Automation and Process Control System design utilizing instrumentation, hydraulics and pneumatics

- Team player, a good communicator, well organized and the ability to deal with shifting priorities

- Clear thinker with the ability to function well when managing multiple priorities (in a production environment
