SERVICE MANAGER

Our well established Ottawa based client is actively recruiting for an experienced Manager to manage & direct daily operations of a busy service and installation department. If you are a seasoned management professional within the service industry, specific to mechanical/electrical and looking to join a firm with a solid reputation in the industry, this position will have appeal!

Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Manager will have direct responsibility to manage 4 clerical office staff, 10 service technicians, 7 service contractors.

Duties Include -

- A strong knowledge of general HR practices and labours laws respective to hiring, termination and disciplinary procedures; ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures

- Organize, participate in and attend training seminars; ensure regulatory compliance / quality control

- Review and approve payroll time sheets and contractor pay sheets ; review and approve annual service contractors remuneration rates

- Solid computer skills

- Proven management expertise to lead and motivate a team of seasoned office staff and technicians.
